When Nwenna Kai was suffering from chronic illness in her early twenties she knew something had to change. “I had complications with my thyroids, I had migraines, I was constantly tired and suffered from depression and anxiety,” she says. Kai decided to eat fresh fruits and vegetables and incorporating juicing. “Along with the other ailments, I had chronic constipation. I decided to start eating mainly fresh fruits and vegetables not realizing I was eating raw. I also juiced and incorporated herbs in my diet, I started to feel better. I realized that the body can heal itself.”
